DESCRIPTION:

• Dr. Bacto’s Brave 4K has the fungus Beauveria bassiana which is entomopathogenic fungi which controls rice leaf folder in rice mainly. These are natural mortality agents and environmentally safe used for biological control of insects and other arthropod pests.

MODE OF ACTION:

• When the microscopic spores of the fungus Beauveria bassiana come into contact with the body of an insect host, they germinate, penetrate the cuticle, and grow inside, killing the insect within a matter of days. Afterwards, a white mold emerges from the cadaver and produces new spores.

BENEFITS:

• It used for biological control of insects and other arthropod pests.

• Caterpillars including Helicoverpa spp., Spodoptera spp., Cutworms, Root grubs, Whitefly, Aphids, Thrips, Mealy bugs etc.
